Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with flexibility) About Sprout Westchester: Sprout Westchester is a vibrant, welcoming Jewish day camp that provides a fun and engaging summer experience for children ages 3–10. We focus on creativity, community, and Jewish values, fostering a love for music, learning, and exploration. Position Overview: We are seeking a Summer Song Leader to bring music, energy, and joy to our campers! This role is perfect for someone who loves working with young children, is passionate about Jewish music, and can create a warm and interactive environment through song. The Song Leader will lead engaging daily music sessions, facilitate Shabbat sing-alongs every Friday, and help create a musical culture at camp. Key Responsibilities: Lead fun and interactive music sessions for campers ages 3–10 Facilitate Shabbat sing-alongs every Friday, bringing energy and spirit to our camp community Create a welcoming and inclusive space where all campers feel encouraged to participate Incorporate Jewish songs, camp favorites, and creative musical activities into daily programming Work collaboratively with camp staff to integrate music into camp-wide activities Adapt songs and activities to engage different age groups and learning styles Encourage camper participation through movement, rhythm, and hands-on musical experiences Qualifications: Experience leading group music activities for children (camp, school, religious settings, etc.) Comfortable playing guitar, ukulele, or another portable instrument Enthusiastic, engaging, and able to connect with young children through music Knowledge of Jewish songs, Shabbat traditions, and camp music is a plus Strong communication and teamwork skills Flexible, creative, and able to adapt to the dynamic camp environment Schedule & Compensation: Flexible part-time or full-time options available (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM) Tuition barter available for applicant’s child if applicable Compensation based on experience and schedule If you love music, kids, and camp, we’d love to have you on our team!
