Probationary Instrumental Music Teacher (Grades 7-8)

Description

The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has an opening for a Probationary Instrumental Music Teacher. The successful candidate will need to: - Experience directing band and conducting 1:1/group instrumental music lessons; - Exceptional ability playing musical instruments; - Passion for excellence, ability to inspire students, and strong performance skills; - Exemplary instructional, classroom management, and organization skills; - Ability to effectively manage several students and/or projects at the same time in a high-paced environment; - Strong leadership skills, a devotion to excellence, and possession of interpersonal skills needed to build a positive rapport with students and parents; - Willingness to work with different learning styles and student needs; - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; - Ability to work effectively with colleagues and experience in working as part of a team; - Strong commitment to professional learning and growth mindset; - The ability to be an excellent role model for students, motivate students to put forth their best effort, and appreciate and reward individual progress.
