Description
The Middle School Music teacher is responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering the Middle School music curriculum for grades 5-8. The ideal candidate is a passionate and adaptable music educator who teaches choir and general music to students in grades 5-8. The ideal candidate possesses strong piano skills and is proficient in vocals. This position requires a dynamic teacher who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent people skills, is willing to collaborate with colleagues, and can effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues. Candidates must maintain open lines of communication with students and families.
Requirements
● Degree in Music Education or related field (preferred).
● Strong piano skills; proficiency in guitar or ukulele.
● Experience teaching choir and general music.
● Excellent interpersonal and classroom management skills.
● Ability to be flexible and go with the flow in a dynamic school setting.
● Experience conducting student performances and coordinating outside music opportunities.
● Ability to collaborate with fellow faculty members and administrators to enhance the school and further
its mission.
