Middle/High School Orchestra Director

NYS Certified Music Education Teacher with experience in String Orchestra Direction. Salary is based on experience and the current LFA agreement. Liberty Central School District is seeking a passionate and dynamic string orchestra teacher to lead and grow a comprehensive 5th through 12th grade string program. The ideal candidate will inspire students through the instruction of string ensembles at both the middle and high school levels and provide differentiated instruction through pull-out small group and individual lessons. This is a full-time position with responsibilities across both Liberty Middle and High Schools. Requirements

Minimum education level: BA/BM in music education or music performance (MA/MM preferred).
Experience teaching String Orchestra to middle school and high school aged students, preferred.
Proficiency on all string instruments.
Plan and lead student performances including school concerts, community events, All County preparation, and NYSSMA/festival participation.
Strong classroom management skills
Organizational skills to manage instrument inventory, music library, and other program resources.
Experience preparing students for festivals, adjudications, and honors ensembles.
Ability to integrate technology into music instruction.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills including collaboration with music staff & middle/high school faculty.
