Description

The Ithaca City School District is seeking a dynamic music educator to teach strings orchestra at the middle school level. The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate exceptional musical skills in teaching and performing a primary and secondary instrument in violin, viola, cello, and bass. They will possess enthusiasm for teaching in both small groups and an ensemble setting, coupled with a genuine passion for working with middle school students. As the educator of the DeWitt Middle School's string orchestras, they will be responsible for teaching the 6th grade, 7/8th grade and chamber orchestra ensembles.

Requirements

● Possess New York State Music K-12 Teaching Certification.
